The Traveller and the Egg

Prompted by the John Howe theme of the month for July, "In the Beginning" (www.john-howe.com)

In the Great Dark, the Traveller ran, and in that darkness, Traveller stood upon the Egg that contained
the Sun. The shell shattered and became many little stars, with one large piece that became the Moon.
And in the dark before the breaking, there was a round ball of earth, lifeless and frozen like a small
pebble in space. But when the sun burst forth, it warmed the little earth ball...*

(Mostly I just liked the image of an enormous pair of feet and a broken egg, in Space! )
