Quiet City II.

Quiet City II - acrylic on canvas - 36 x 48" (commission)

I regret I never took a better picture - but hopefully I may find the negative someday and scan it myself. Sadly in this copy of the photograph, one loses the detail of the red-on-red brick of the central building, and the textures on the others.
I do remember tipping the whole picture upside down at one point during the painting process, and feeling a sense of vertigo which I quite enjoyed!
(It was commissioned by a patron of the Vulcan cafe, around 1995. I wonder where the picture is, today?)
